My Story

Hello

Thank you for your fellowship with us. You might be wondering who is Oluwatope Jagun and how did Healing Souls Tabernacle come to existent. Well, my name is Oluwatope Jagun.  I am a smiling, happy, joyful, full-of-faith and energy spirit fire and never-give-up person. Right now my family and I reside in the United Kingdom. Believing in Holy Ghost fire revival in united Kingdom to come to existence. However, I would love to relate to you how I came to know the Lord, Jesus Christ, so you might know who I am  and how Healing Souls Christian Tabernacle is a good church vocation for our community and for the time we living.

At eight years old, I would stare at the clouds and wonder about their autonomous movement. Often, I would ask myself and my mother why the clouds were moving and who lived in the celestial domains. Still, I thought the responses my mother offered addressed my questions. My father died while I was still a small child. Not long after his death, some community youngsters took me to an evangelical church for the first time. It was about a three-mile walk from my house.

Upon arrival, I observed several children actively participating in dancing and singing within these children’s churches. The speaker then presented a calendar showing the rapture with Jesus falling from the cloud and people climbing to meet Him in the heavens. I understood then why I was staring at the sky and clouds. I started crying right away, pledged to give my life to Jesus, and resolved myself to travel to make paradise with Him.

But once I chose to follow Jesus, I ran across a lot of rejection. My relatives tried to make me renounce my new beliefs by physically mistreating and torturing. I remained faithful, and today most of my siblings have discovered Jesus as their Lord and personal savior and they have become fervent followers.

From my early days as a Christian, I have been fervently committed to winning souls for Christ; since my childhood, despite the challenge, I became a street evangelist at a very early age. Time will not permit me to tell how glorious it was to hear the voice of the Lord speak to me to start Healing Souls Tabernacle ministry for His kingdom around June 2019, though Healing Souls Tabernacle was established in October 17 2024 at Hanwell Community Centre.

What else should I say, I believed in  the gift of healing power, deliverance as the girft of the Holy Spirit for the church.  As Isaiah 61:1 stated and Jesus proclaimed in Luke 4:18;  “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,” such as foundational generational breaking yokes in several areas of life, knowledge in demonology, and restoring broken marriages through the power of the Holy Spirit?

However, I have been blessed by church leadership and brothers and sisters in the Lord with their help and encouragement to make Healing Souls Tabernacle a destiny fulfilled. A big thank you to my theology school teachers for all their effort to equip me and many students for the vocation, and also a big thanks to my family for their support and dedication toward Healing Souls Tabernacle.

All these experiences have heightened my desire to love people and inspire community about the love of God.  My goal is to encourage and manifest the love of God in the family and empower the youngsters, to foster strong love and unity in our community, to relieve poverty, and to help the homeless. Focusing on holiness and righteousness as well as the fivefold gifts of the Holy Spirit.
